Tim Rivers REwarding REuse Fund
Resource Depot’s education programs are building a generation of children who will be eco-conscious adults. We believe our youth are our chance to save the planet - and they are ready for the task! Through Resource Depot there is early adoption of environmentally-conscious behaviors, they introduce them at home, and they raise their own future families as environmental warriors.
A gift to the Tim Rivers Rewarding Reuse Fund delivers our educational programs to the future environmental champions, provide scholarships, and support creative reuse projects.

About Tim Rivers
Tim Rivers was an award-winning photojournalist for more than three decades. After a start in his native Vermont, he worked for the former Fort Lauderdale News and Sun-Sentinel from 1979 to 2007. Following early retirement, he turned his camera toward subtropical nature subjects, capturing images from his xeriscaped Flamingo Park yard in West Palm Beach to public gardens and nature preserves throughout South Florida. After his death in 2015, his longtime partner, Victoria Preuss, cataloged and offered prints of many of his images to the public to benefit nonprofit causes, including this scholarship program. Scholarships
Each year we are able to award partial and full scholarships for school aged children to attend programs offered by Resource Depot thanks to the generosity of those who gives to the Tim Rivers fund. Scholarship applications are reviewed on a first come first serve basis and are awarded based on demonstrated financial need and availability of requested funds.
As we often receive more requests than we can fulfill, our goal remains to provide opportunities to as many groups or individuals as we can each year based on our limited funds.
Submitting the application below is not a guarantee for approval. We will review your application as soon as we can, though please allow for at least 2 weeks for a response.
